Luton Airport Transfers

This is one of the six international airports in London and is the fourth largest among them. It is located around 3km east of Bedfordshire and 57km to the north of Central London. Luton airport received a 9.7 million traffic count in 2013 and is a major base for ‘no frills’ or low cost air travel.

Luton Airport has an arrivals lounge that holds restaurants, shops, bars and even a currency exchange. Here you’d find a travel centre that can assist you in booking tickets for coaches and buses or hiring cars. There’s also a departure’s lounge with similar services.

Access to Luton
Train

Trains leave the airport from Luton Airport Parkway train station for London frequently. This parkway is located just 10min away from the airport when you use the shuttle buses. Here you’ll find East Midlands Trains that will get you to Central London in 21min.

Thameslink also provides train services with 6 trains leaving every hour. There are direct train links to City Thameslink, Blackfriars, St Pancras International and Farringdon. This journey takes around 40min.

Couches

National Express offers couches that depart from the airport to Central London every day. There are various pickup and drop-off points in London some of which include Marylebone, Golders, Green Portman Square and St John’s Wood. The trip takes about an hour and 15min.

There’s also easyBus and Terravision that offer couch services to Central London. They can have numerous stops on the way but the cost is low especially when you book online.

There are also Green Line 757 couches that are accessible to people in wheelchairs. However, you need to call at least 24 hours before landing to ensure that a couch is available for your journey.

Taxi

For taxi services, it’s advisable to enquire with the company before you get to London. Different companies have different policies and most of them have an online booking system that you can use to be assured of a flawless drive. The time taken is solely dependent on your needs and stops that you may have.
